One Foggy Night In London - (Proceeds Go To Charity)

Graham, a plump little elephant, takes on adventures with his friends. Through his journeys, we reconnect and teach our children about the value of friendship and helping the planet

Most people have something they enjoy doing as a 'hobby' or a 'side project'. However, with 80 to 100 hour work weeks, it's very hard for the average entrepreneur to find time for anything else.

I try to strike a balance through a series of 'side projects'. Since I'm a 'start-and-finish-later' hobbyist, I give myself timelines for completion - usually about a year.

Last year, by example, my side project was to read a book a week. It was grueling. In December, I had to read 14 books to complete my goal. Perhaps a little overboard.

This year, my goal is to complete the children's' book that I started many years ago.  It's a simple book. An elephant who gives life to curiosity and learns about the environment (ok, ok. I HAD to write about the environment - give me a break!). Throughout this journey, this little elephant (named Graham), helps save the planet with his friends.

I would not have thought this would have taken so long to produce.  Other than the writing, this has become an intense project management matter - finding a cartoonist, managing the process, rewriting the script, sourcing a graphic designer, design and layout, production completion, marketing and distribution. Make no mistake about it - this will take me a whole year.

The proceeds of this book, yet to be named, will go to charity (I'm still researching this category). You'll be able to buy it on Amazon.com. I'm hoping to have frequent readings at schools during my travels and 'down-time'!
